Galveston Island’s Climate
Galveston’s climate is classified as humid subtropical, with
long and hot summers June – September and temperatures regularly over 90°F and
indexes over 100°F and nighttime lows still in the upper 70’s.
Cooler winter months, December – February, daytime high
temperatures are typically over 60°F and nighttime lows are around 50°F.
Most of the island’s precipitation occurs between June and November, and snowfall and freezing temperatures are rare.
