Bands on the Sand

All summer long, our friends at Moody Gardens put on a great show! And the whole family is invited! 

Standing proudly on the shores of Galveston Bay, Moody Gardens is a world-famous attraction for anyone who enjoys the wonders of nature and science! Visitors of all ages and walks of life will find hours and hours of enjoyment exploring the Discovery Pyramid, Rainforest, Imax Theaters, and so much more! 

And even better, this summer features the Bands on the Sand concert series! Every Friday and Saturday night, Moody Gardens presents a different regional or traveling act, and all types of music are featured! The concerts are family-friendly and take place under the beautiful skies of Galveston, Texas! Those attending the show can relax on the white sand beach of Moody Gardens, or kick back on a float and cruise the Lazy River! However you choose to enjoy yourself, you’ll have a wonderful time!

And there are fireworks! After each show, the night skies will be filled with light and color as round after round of thrilling fireworks over Galveston Bay cap off the evening’s entertainment. 

The Bands on the Sand concerts last from 6pm to 10pm, with fireworks immediately following. Tickets are only $15 each. 

You can always pull your boat up and enjoy the show from the water.
