Ohana Dog Surfing Competition

Surf’s up! Every year Ohana Surf & Skate sponsors this fun, family-friendly dog surfing competition on Galveston beach to help support the Galveston Island Humane Society. People register their dogs and some dogs from the shelter join in on the fun to compete for 1st prize. 

If you’re in the area while this event is going on, it’s a must-do! Seeing the dogs hang 10 and have fun in the water is not something you get to see every day! Dogs and their owners hit the waves in July for the Ohana Surf and Skate dog surfing competition. Prizes are awarded based on surfing ability.
