Stewart Beach

In 2013, Stewart Beach was named by Family Vacation Critic as one of the Ten Best Beaches for Families. That title is certainly well-deserved. It is certainly one of the most popular beaches in Galveston.

For a small parking fee per vehicle, Stewart Beach offers visitors all the amenities needed for a perfect day at the beach—lifeguards, bathrooms, outdoor showers, indoor showers, and more. There are even concessions, a gift shop, rental chairs and umbrellas, and volleyball nets—all within easy walking distance of the waves! There is even a lot for free parking a little further from the beach, but still within walking distance. All of this makes Stewart Beach the safest and most convenient place for your family to spend their Galveston vacation.

Sound good? All you have to do is head east, and you’ll see the entrance to Stewart Beach at the junction of Broadway and Galveston Seawall Boulevard. It’s not open year-round, but in between March 8 to October 8 there’s no better place to be.
