Galveston Island is a seafood lover’s paradise all year round, but this September, Yaga’s Entertainment Inc. will bring foodies a little taste of heaven at the Galveston Island Shrimp Festival to be held September 27-28, 2024. Featuring some of the best shrimp gumbo the Gulf Coast has to offer, the Shrimp Gumbo Cook-Off will beheld in the Historic Strand District beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024. This event will also feature the Shrimp Scamper 5k Fun Run, Ron Hoover Boat Show, vendor exhibits, the Lil’ Shrimps Parade, and live music!
