Description
This home has an open concept living/dining/kitchen area with an extra-large balcony and extended balcony out to the canal. Ample seating in all areas for guests to enjoy views of the canal, sunset, and cool breezes. The kitchen is fully equipped for meals for 14 guests.
This specially designed home has two bedrooms up and two bedrooms at ground level (not connected by an interior staircase, perfect for guests with mobility issues or two separate families who like to share). Upstairs the primary bedroom has a queen bed, ceiling fan and large flat-screen TV, en suite bath with a large step-in shower. The second bedroom also upstairs features a queen bed and television. The second bath upstairs has a step-in shower. The third bedroom at the ground level is a bunk room - one twin over full bunk bed and one twin over twin bunk bed in this room. The fourth bedroom has two twin beds that may be pushed together for a king. 3 rollaway twins are available also.
At ground level, the sleeping accommodations are in a Jack-n-Jill style separated by a mini kitchenette with coffee pot, and a full bathroom with shower. The washer and dryer are also located in this area.
The outside of Island Life is where the fun really begins - so much space for everyone to spread out and enjoy a weekend at island life. The decks and balconies have a variety of tables and chairs for gameplay, afternoon cocktails, fish cleaning station, underwater fishing lights! This home also has a boathouse where guests may tie off their marine vessels! This home also has an outdoor shower to rinse off if you swim in the canal.

Jamaica Beach Texas is one of the most popular beaches and sought-after neighborhoods when it comes to vacation rentals – what it lacks in size, it makes up for action during the summer months, holidays and event weekends! Jamaica Beach is far enough out to be away from the hustle and bustle of Seawall (8 miles), and but not too far away from most of the island attractions (10 miles from 61st Street). Jamaica Beach also has it’s own community pool and private marina and boat ramp, Regatta Basin, a community pavilion and playground.

This home is pet-friendly. All pets must be registered. Outside the home, dogs must be leashed at all times, and owners are responsible for picking up after dogs.
No white trash bags allowed; all trash has to be in black trash bags. The City will issue citations.
Jamaica Beach is a residential neighborhood, and quiet hours are enforced between 10 pm and 7 am.
Outside/exterior security surveillance is present at this home for the security of the home and our guests.

Have stayed at Jamaica Beach many times, in privately owned vacation homes as well as homes managed by management companies like this one. personal details that an individual owner provides are definitely missing from this spot. There are enough supplies in the house to get you through the first 24 hours only, so be sure to bring extra trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, and all toiletries. There are no extras. The kitchen has very few pots and pans, knives, and other kitchen items, so bring your own. very few spices in the spice cabinet, so do not plan on using anything they provide. 2 bedrooms downstairs, 1 w 2 beds and 1 w 4 beds. They are all singles, so not a bad spot for older kids. The air conditioning units in both of those bedrooms do not work well. Suggest bringing additional fans if those rooms will be in use. Upstairs units, where two main bedrooms and bathrooms are located, work well. Electrical problems occurred and mgmt co didn’t respond to VMs. Report in app only.

The home was not equipped with basics that other rentals have ( baking pan, salt, pepper shampoo,). The air-conditioning in the upper rooms seemed to be either very cold or warm. The cooling didn’t stay constant. Beds in the upstairs were not very comfortable. In the downstairs bedroom, there was a step that was easy to trip over. Both occupants in that room tripped three times. On the last evening. I fell due to the step. This is a safety issue. That really needs to be looked at. I only hurt my hand, but I can see how someone older might have had a more serious injury. The deck area was great. Lots of games available for the kids. Had issues getting in the door. Had to make multiple attempts before the keys pad would recognize all the entries. Probably a bit overpriced for what we got. It did sleep 10 adequately. It would’ve been difficult to sleep 12 as stated

We really enjoyed the property. The house was big enough for our family of 10. The canal location was perfect for fishing, crabbing, canoeing in the water. Only a short drive to the beach. The neighborhood was having water issues and a few times we had very little water pressure or no water at all. That was very inconvenient. The kitchen was very unorganized. Plates, cups, dishes randomly placed wherever. This made it difficult to find what you needed. They only provided one hand towel for the kitchen, so we bought our own. The kids lower level and not connected to the upper level with an interior staircase. This wasn’t an issue for our kids, but it would be a problem with younger kids. Over all, a great house, great location and we would definitely stay there again.
