Description
This home has an open concept living/dining/kitchen area with an extra-large balcony and extended balcony out to the canal. Ample seating in all areas for guests to enjoy views of the canal, sunset, and cool breezes. The kitchen is fully equipped for meals for 14 guests.
This specially designed home has two bedrooms up and two bedrooms at ground level (not connected by an interior staircase, perfect for guests with mobility issues or two separate families who like to share). Upstairs the primary bedroom has a queen bed, ceiling fan and large flat-screen TV, en suite bath with a large step-in shower. The second bedroom also upstairs features a queen bed and television. The second bath upstairs has a step-in shower. The third bedroom at the ground level is a bunk room for 6 - one twin over full bunk bed and one twin over twin bunk bed in this room. The fourth bedroom has two twin beds that may be pushed together for a king. 3 rollaway twins are available also.
At ground level, the sleeping accommodations are in a Jack-n-Jill style separated by a mini kitchenette with coffee pot, and a full bathroom with shower. The washer and dryer are also located in this area.
The outside of Island Life is where the fun really begins - so much space for everyone to spread out and enjoy a weekend at island life. The decks and balconies have a variety of tables and chairs for gameplay, afternoon cocktails, fish cleaning station, underwater fishing lights! This home also has a boathouse where guests may tie off their marine vessels! This home also has an outdoor shower to rinse off if you swim in the canal.
JAMAICA BEACH
Jamaica Beach Texas is one of the most popular beaches and sought-after neighborhoods when it comes to vacation rentals – what it lacks in size, it makes up for action during the summer months, holidays and event weekends! Jamaica Beach is far enough out to be away from the hustle and bustle of Seawall (8 miles), and but not too far away from most of the island attractions (10 miles from 61st Street). Jamaica Beach also has it’s own community pool and private marina and boat ramp, Regatta Basin, a community pavilion and playground.

This home is pet-friendly. All pets must be registered, and pet fee ($100/pet) must be paid upfront. Outside the home, dogs must be leashed at all times, and owners are responsible for picking up after dogs. Please review Ryson’s 'Tips for Traveling with Pets' for additional information.

This vacation home should accommodate up to 4 vehicles to be parked at the property. Carpooling is highly recommended. Vehicles should be parked in the driveway or designated parking space. At no time should any vehicle be parked on lawns, yards or dune. Many HOAs do not allow parking for trailers, RVs, boats, etc. Please contact Ryson with any questions.
Jamaica Beach is a residential neighborhood, and quiet hours are enforced between 10 pm and 7 am.
Outside/exterior security surveillance is present at this home for the security of the home and our guests.
Even if listed as a provided amenities, Ryson is unable to guarantee specific cable package, network or channels or cable and internet signal quality and cable may not be available on all TVs. Oftentimes additional TVs are available for guests wanting to hook up their own game systems or streaming devices.
All reservations require a completed Ryson Rental Agreement, and the agreement holder must be at least 25 years of age to rent this property and provide a valid ID at check-in. Check-in time is 4 pm and check-out time is at 10 am.
EXTENDED STAYS
Monthly rentals are considered in the off-season - Winter Texans, snowbirds, retirees, corporate stays, medical professionals, university students and plant workers are welcome. Extended stays or monthly rentals require a stay of 30+ nights, and these reservations are tax exempt. This is an immediate savings of 15%! Although most extended stay reservations are between the middle of November through February, extended stays may be considered anytime between Labor Day and Memorial Day. Extended stay reservations may not be placed online, but a Ryson Vacation Planner would love to answer any questions you may have and help you reserve your extended stay.

We loved this property so much, we're already planning our next time to stay at Island Life. One of the cleanest rentals we've used. Nicely updated inside. Comfortable and pretty furnishings. Soft, white linens in bed and bath. Upstairs deck is fantastic. Well maintained yard (fenced). And of course it's in Jamaica Beach, so the location on island is good. It's definitely a creampuff!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this property and appreciate your professionalism, assistance, kindness, and promptness to answer all our questions during our stay, which was scheduled at the last minute after receiving an unexpected cancellation from another property. The house was well-equipped, clean, with very comfortable beds. I truly appreciate that you allowed us to bring our two dogs, which are part of the family. Great place for a family vacation, especially if you like to fish or just want to chill on the canal. The house was really lovely and the deck was absolutely fantastic. It\'s a little cramped for vehicle space, which didn\'t impact us except when we had a guest visit, but otherwise, just a really wonderful place to stay.

First time staying on bayside instead of beach, and it was great. The canals were awesome for our kayaks and the huge deck was wonderful. The downstairs rooms being detached was different but as we have older kids, it worked great. It was fenced in, so perfect for our dog. We definitely want to come back.

Beautiful cabin with really nice updates. The only major concern was the roaches in the downstairs bunk room. The first night we saw 8-10 large cockroaches. The next day maintenance sprayed and put out traps. That night we saw one. Master toilet was in need of fixing. Maintenance said they would fix after owner approved but they never came back. We had to lift the back of the toilet bowl cover and press on the pump every 3 or 4 flushes. Besides those issues the cabin is in a great location. Office staff was very nice too. Check in and check out was easy.
