The guests who stay in The Blue Octopus will enjoy all new appliances, a completely renovated kitchen and a professional artist's mural inside of this very special property. Both bedrooms feature queen-size beds (one on the north side of the building) and the other on the Gulf side with a walk-out balcony. The living area features a queen sleeper sofa. The walk-out double balcony is accessible from both the primary bedroom and the living/dining/kitchen areas. This property also has a washer/dryer for the convenience of our guests.

By the Sea is a highrise condominium complex, offers a swimming pool and tennis court for guest use, and is across the street from Babe’s Beach and the world’s longest continuous sidewalk, Seawall Boulevard. Babe’s Beach, complete with lifeguards and chair and umbrella rentals, is directly across the street! Babe’s Beach is named after A.R. “Babe” Schwartz. As a state senator, Babe championed open beaches and environmental stewardship. Walk to shopping, restaurants, ice cream, fishing and the beach, and or those who love saltwater fishing, head over to the longest fishing pier in Texas, Galveston Fishing Pier – open 24 hours a day. Guests could easily park their vehicle upon arrival and never drive again until check-out.

Events, parties, or guests attending prom are prohibited at this home, as well as any type of large gathering with guests not listed on the reservation's Guest Registration or exceeding the maximum occupancy. These provisions are strictly enforced by Ryson Vacation Rentals, and GARM (Galveston Association of Rental Managers) security. If any questions, please contact Ryson.
This vacation home should accommodate up to 2 vehicles to be parked at the property. Parking at condos is determined by the space available at the property (typically two-car maximum). Carpooling is highly recommended. Vehicles should be parked in the driveway or designated parking space. At no time should any vehicle be parked on lawns, yards or dune. Many HOAs do not allow parking for trailers, RVs, boats, etc. Please contact Ryson with any questions.
Reservations at this HOA require a resort/parking/amenity fee to be paid directly to the HOA upon arrival.
Resort amenities, including advertised elevators, require maintenance, and from time to time may be unavailable for guest use. Every effort will be made by Ryson to notify the respective HOA. However, please understand, Ryson has no control or authority in completing necessary repairs or routine maintenance. If elevator use is a requirement for any guests during your stay, please contact Ryson prior to booking, and we're happy to go over available options (alternate elevator available on premises or locating a better limited mobility friendly access unit).
Elevator is available for adult guest use - helpful for those with limited mobility or to carry up luggage and groceries.
Even if listed as a provided amenities, Ryson is unable to guarantee specific cable package, network or channels or cable and internet signal quality and cable may not be available on all TVs.
All reservations require a completed Ryson Rental Agreement, and the agreement holder must be at least 21 years of age to rent this property and provide a valid ID at check-in. Check-in time is 4 pm and check-out time is at 10 am.

This condo has been updated and looks great. Both the kitchen/living and bedroom has ocean views with sliding glass doors for the balcony outside. Very clean and had every dish/utensil that would be needed to cook. Check in was incredibly easy and the front desk was always hospitable. Will definitely stay again!
