The patio at Turtle Reef has chairs for enjoying a morning cup of coffee while watching as shrimp boats go out past the second sand bar for the morning catch.
The living area has a queen sleeper sofa (sleeps 2). The primary bedroom has a king-size bed (the king bed is two twins combined) and a very large walk-in closet. The closet has a twin bed-available to be used by guests, but not part of the headcount. If you like pull the twin bed to the living area or the large primary bedroom. The primary bath is a very large bath that will easily accommodate 4 guests.
THE DAWN CONDOMINIUMS
The Dawn is Located on Seawall, just West of 69th Street, can’t be missed with the tropical colors, palm trees and beautifully landscaped grounds and feature two swimming pools (one pool is heated to 81° in the cooler months), a poolside hot tub, community grilling areas, fitness center, on-site laundry and gated parking. All units at The Dawn offer a private covered balcony or patio, which is the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind in the evening with a glass of your favorite beverage. All kitchens are fully stocked with pots, pans and dishes to make breakfast, lunch or dinner, and guests are so close to so many delicious places to eat if you don’t feel like cooking or decide to order in after a long day at the beach or pool. All guests are required to pay $37.89 per car for parking upon arrival at The Dawn.

Events, parties, or guests attending prom are prohibited at this home, as well as any type of large gathering with guests not listed on the reservation's Guest Registration or exceeding the maximum occupancy. These provisions are strictly enforced by Ryson Vacation Rentals, and GARM (Galveston Association of Rental Managers) security. If any questions, please contact Ryson.
This vacation home should accommodate up to 2 vehicles to be parked at the property. Parking at condos is determined by the space available at the property (typically two-car maximum). Carpooling is highly recommended. Vehicles should be parked in the driveway or designated parking space. At no time should any vehicle be parked on lawns, yards or dune. Many HOAs do not allow parking for trailers, RVs, boats, etc. Please contact Ryson with any questions.
All reservations at The Dawn Condominiums require a parking fee per vehicle (two max).
When registering at The Dawn guests will receive their pool/gym bands (up to 6 for a one-bedroom and up to 8 for a two-bedroom) and access codes for parking gates, walk-through gates and for the fitness center. Pool/gym bands should be returned to The Dawn prior to departure.
Most HOA fees (resort, parking, amenity, etc.) are to be paid directly to the HOA upon arrival.
Resort amenities require maintenance, and from time to time may be unavailable for guest use. Every effort will be made by Ryson to notify the respective HOA. However, please understand, Ryson has no control or authority in completing necessary repairs or routine maintenance. If elevator use is a requirement for any guests during your stay, please contact Ryson prior to booking, and we're happy to go over available options (alternate elevator available on premises or locating a better limited mobility friendly access unit).
Guests with limited mobility should consider parking and possible stairs to access unit, as The Dawn does not have elevators. A Ryson Vacation Planner would be happy to go over the location and access of specific units.
Even if listed as a provided amenities, Ryson is unable to guarantee specific cable package, network or channels or cable and internet signal quality and cable may not be available on all TVs.
All reservations require a completed Ryson Rental Agreement, and the agreement holder must be at least 21 years of age to rent this property and provide a valid ID at check-in. Check-in time is 4 pm and check-out time is at 10 am.

Great location, lots of excellent restaurants. The Dawn has a heated outdoor pool and a non-heated pool with hot tub. We had major problems with the original ground floor unit (614) we rented and had to move to a temporary unit after 3 weeks. Since we had 5 more weeks on our rental with Ryson, they had to move us to available units for 4 or 5 days twice until one came up for the last 4 weeks. But it's A/C went out, so they moved us again until it was fixed. So, we had to pack up everything for the 1st move and leave a lot in the car. Vacation would have been nice and relaxing if we could have had unit #822 the whole time. That unit was really nice, well furnished & supplied and a good location too. But it was not an enjoyable stay having to pack up and move 5 times!! Recommend not stay on ground floor in Galveston.

Quick and efficient check in, nice accessible parking ok view. Clean condo was good except the bed was 2 twin power lift types with king sheets across them. Crevice in the middle was very uncomfortable. Not disclosed in the description. Unacceptably misleading. We would not have booked this one if we knew, and would have kept looking for a real king Also, no coffee pot, only a Keurig machine w no adapter for ground coffee. Bummer. Even a tea kettle would have been ok, but did not have one of those either. Except for the AC and nice walk in shower, we may as well been camping.

Very clean. Sliding door didn't lock. 7 blind slats were missing so privacy was not good. Two twin beds were pushed together to make a King size bed. Not good for a romantic weekend. If those 3 things were not there it would have been perfect.

Property was bigger than pictures show, clean, perfect location for beach and pool and shops access. Felt safe and amazing view on porch of the ocean. If you plan on using twin mattress in closet bring bedding and extra pillow cases. The king mattress is 2 twins but super comfortable would recommend they get an ikea connector to fix the gap. Roman blinds didn’t work but we where able to roll up by hand in bedroom. We are def saving this place and going back!
