What do The Dawn Condos include?
All units at The Dawn offer a private covered balcony or patio, most have a Gulf view or are pool-side, and front-facing units offer unobstructed Gulf views! All kitchens are fully stocked with pots, pans, and dishes to make breakfast, lunch or dinner, and guests are so close to so many delicious places to eat if you don’t feel like cooking or decide to order in after a long day at the beach or pool.
Located on Seawall, just West of 69th Street, The Dawn Condominiums can’t be missed with the tropical colors, palm trees, and beautifully landscaped grounds.
The Dawn Amenities
The Dawn Condominiums feature two swimming pools (smaller pool is heated to 80° in the cooler months), a poolside hot tub, community grilling areas, fitness center, on-site laundry and gated parking. Pool areas will be unlocked at 9 am and locked at 11 pm daily, except on Mondays, pool areas will be opened at 1 pm.
Things To Do Near The Dawn Condominiums
Walk to shopping, restaurants, ice cream, fishing and the beach. Guests could easily park their vehicle upon arrival and never drive again until check-out. The Dawn is walking distance to Walmart, McDonald’s, Pit Stop BBQ, Papa John’s, Jimmy John’s, Sonic, Golden Corral, Happy Budda, Waffle House, Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt, Frios Gourmet Pops & Island Froyo, Rita’s Italian Ice, Seawall Souvenirs, Valero Corner Store, Babe’s Beach and the world’s longest continuous sidewalk, Seawall Boulevard. Many local Galveston restaurants offer delivery, but if you don’t find what you’re looking for that way, check out Waitr, UberEats, DoorDash or ezCater (restaurant options and menus available online).
Babe’s Beach, complete with lifeguards and chair and umbrella rentals, is directly across the street from The Dawn! Babe’s Beach is named after A.R. “Babe” Schwartz. As a state senator, Babe championed open beaches and environmental stewardship.
For those who love saltwater fishing, head over to the longest fishing pier in Texas, Galveston Fishing Pier – open 24 hours a day. With your Ryson reservation, guests have the option of a free attraction ticket every single day of their stay, and Galveston Fishing Pier is one the free ticket options. If all of that is not enough, after a hot day in the sun, The Dawn is just a short drive or long walk to cool off at Galveston’s Premiere 11 movie theater.
All reservations at The Dawn Condominiums require a parking fee ($35 + tax) per vehicle (two max). The Dawn requires this fee be paid directly to The Dawn HOA at their front office upon arrival. This is a one-time fee per stay and is required in order to receive guest pool and gym bands.
When registering at The Dawn guests will receive their pool and gym bands (up to 6 for a one-bedroom and up to 8 for a two-bedroom) and access codes for parking gates, walk-through gates and for the fitness center. Pool/gym bands should be returned to The Dawn prior to departure.
The Dawn does not allow boats, RV’s or trailers to be parked on-premises, with the exception of trailers during the Lone Star Rally event.
Handicap parking is available. Guests must have a handicapped license plate or visible tag or vehicles will be towed. Guests with limited mobility should consider parking and possible stairs to access the unit, as The Dawn does not have elevators. A Ryson Vacation Planner would be happy to go over the location and access of specific units.
