Tour the Natural World and More at Moody Gardens

The unique pyramids at Moody Gardens each contain their own unique set of exhibits, including an aquarium, a rainforest, and a museum. Onsite, there’s also a golf course, theaters, ziplines, a rope course, and the Colonel Paddlewheel Boat. Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig and Museum

SegCity: Tree Carvings Segway Tour

Take a Segway tour of Galveston and discover one of the more unique aspects of the island’s history: tree carvings! As part of the rebuilding process from the devastating hurricane in 1900, thousands of German oak trees were planted on Galveston Island in order to prevent soil erosion. Unfortunately, Hurricane Ike drenched the oaks with saltwater in 2008, killing many of the aged trees. Today, 22 of these dead oak trees boast unique carvings from local artists.

Galveston Beaches

This one can almost go without saying, but it wouldn’t be a complete list without it! There are many family-friendly Galveston beaches, one of which has been voted one of the best: Stewart Beach
