Things to Do in Galveston

Our goal at Ryson Real Estate and Vacation Rentals is to make your Galveston vacation or work-cation relaxing, fun, and easy to plan. Our concierge service, Gulf Coast Concierge, can assist with grocery delivery, beach gear, fresh flowers, and plans for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, wedding proposals, and romantic getaways.

We know that travel is all about experiences, and Galveston offers plenty of things to do.

Outdoor Recreation in Galveston

You’re on an island, so you might as well go sailing, fishing, or boating during your stay in Galveston. Ryson’s concierge service can help with tickets for a public harbor excursion or charter a sailboat and sail on your own or with a captain. Or if you need a bit more room, we can assist with a half-day or full-day pontoon rental or book it for the weekend. There’s nothing better than doing a little boating in Galveston

For those who want to get a little exercise, we can help with surfboard, paddleboard, and kayak Galveston equipment rentals. We can deliver equipment directly to your vacation rental. We can also assist with beach cruisers or join in an electric bike tour. Let us know what you have in mind, and it’s our pleasure to help.

Family-Friendly Attractions

When you choose to book your vacation rental through Ryson, we can offer your free Galveston attraction tickets to Schlitterbahn Galveston Waterpark, the Galveston Fishing Pier, and Escape the Island. This is just one of the benefits of booking your Galveston vacation with Ryson Real Estate and Vacation Rentals.

We’d also recommend you venture to Moody Gardens. Moody Gardens is a family entertainment complex featuring an Aquarium Pyramid, Rainforest Pyramid, Discovery Museum, 3D Theater, 4D Special FX Theater, and Colonel Paddlewheel Boat. You and your family can easily spend a day at Moody Gardens.

If you’re driving down Galveston’s Seawall, it’s hard to miss the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier. The Pleasure Pier offers sixteen rides, a midway, and dining. Make sure to take a ride on the Galaxy Wheel. It provides a spectacular view.

Arts and Culture in Galveston

If you’re more of a history buff and love historical architecture, we suggest you venture to Bishop’s Palace, Moody Mansion, and The Bryan Museum. Bishop’s Palace and Moody Mansion once housed Galveston’s elite, and you’ll be awed by the beautiful architecture and detail. Both feature family furnishings.

The Bryan Museum is home to the world’s largest collections of historical artifacts, documents, and artwork related to the Southwestern United States. You’ll love the display of saddles, pistols, and art.

And, make sure to check the season calendar for The Grand 1894 Opera House. No seat is further than 70 feet from the stage. The acoustics in this historic theater is incredible. Note: The Grand is currently “waiting in the wings” until they can resume shows.

Make the most of these suggestions on things to do in Galveston. Ryson Vacation Rentals offers more than 200 properties across the island to suit any taste and budget. If you need help planning your visit, Gulf Coast Concierge is available to help.
